Business Resiliency Analyst, Lyndsay Deery, has recently received her Certified Business Continuity Professional designation from DRI International. Lyndsay is responsible for the oversight, design and testing of the organization’s Business Resiliency program. Working across all divisions and locations she successfully leads business continuity, disaster recovery and incident response program maturity. A graduate of Grand Valley State University, Lyndsay earned her bachelor’s degree in communications. She has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry as well as several specialized certifications.

A Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) has demonstrated both knowledge and skill in the business continuity and disaster recovery industry. It signifies a commitment to ensuring organizational resilience in the face of disruptions, emergencies or disasters. A CBCP certification validates one’s ability to lead and manage the business continuity and disaster recovery planning processes, assess risks, and implement strategies to ensure business operations can withstand and recover from adverse events.

Vice President, Senior Trust Relationship Officer, Karen McNish, recently received her Certified Trust Fiduciary Officer (CTFA) designation. Karen is responsible for providing a trust perspective to all wealth management discussions and coordinating planning strategies with other professional advisors, such as tax advisors or estate planning attorneys. She has over 25 years of experience in providing financial solutions to high net-worth individuals and families. Karen holds a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Saginaw County Bar Association, and is past president and current member of Northeastern Michigan Estate Planning Council.

The CTFA designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of wealth management and trust. To qualify for the CTFA certification, individuals must have certain levels of experience and education in the trust profession, pass an exam, and agree to abide by a code of ethics. The CTFA exam covers many areas including fiduciary and trust activities, financial planning, tax law and planning, investment management and ethics.
