Manager selection analyst receives CFA® Certification

Manager selection analyst Jacob Barker has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, one of the highest distinctions in the investment management profession.

Jacob is responsible for supporting the evaluation, selection and ongoing oversight of all external investment managers used in client investment portfolios. He joined Greenleaf Trust in 2018, and has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Oklahoma State University and an M.B.A from the Loyola University of Chicago Quinlan School of Business.

When asked about the successful certification, Director of Research Nicholas Juhle commented, “Our in-house research team is committed to providing investment perspective and expertise with a client centric approach. Part of that commitment is continuous improvement and education. We are proud to add Jacob to our list of CFA® charterholders, and grateful for his dedication to excellence.”

Earning the CFA® charter is a highly selective process and fewer than one in five candidates become a CFA charterholder.  It takes an average of 1,000+ hours of rigorous study, along with four years of professional experience and successful completion of the CFA® Program exams, to earn the distinction of being called a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder.
