The Greenleaf Wealth Development Club for Student Investors is a special program designed for students of color interested in learning more about finance.
Club Members will be selected from Kalamazoo Public Schools (KPS) high schools. The club was created to promote diversity and inclusivity within Greenleaf Trust and the financial industry by increasing the number of students of color considering fi nance as a college major or career. There are no dues, no fees for joining, and no expectations beyond an interest and engagement in learning fi nance and investment concepts—but the rewards are very real.
Explore the world of Investing and Finance
Once a month, Club Members will meet with Greenleaf Trust investment professionals, Greenleaf Trust Wealth Developers, and dedicated KPS teachers/advisors. Students will learn about investing in the stock market, stocks, bonds, Wall Street, and other financial concepts. They’ll also discover why these are important to their future. The program will explore topics such as career path options and selecting a college major in fi nance and investments. A KPS teacher/advisor will also be available as a resource to Club Members at each high school between official club meetings.
The Greenleaf Wealth Development Club will meet on the second Saturday of each month for two hours, from September 2021 through May 2022. Mark your calendars for September 14, 2021!
