Karen leads the Human Resources Division, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts, and the Greenleaf Trust Scholarship & Internship and Wealth Developers programs at Greenleaf Trust. She is committed to cultivating a culture of inclusivity through awareness, education and conversation. Karen collaborates with leaders to implement strategies driving company growth and ensuring best practices in team recruitment, engagement, development and retention. Karen has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry as well as more than 25 years of human resources experience. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University, her Certified Staffing Professional designation through the American Staffing Association, her Senior Certified Professional designation through the Society for Human Resource Management, and her Certified Diversity Professional designation through the National Diversity Council. Karen is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the Kalamazoo Human Resources Management Association.
