Greenleaf Trust announces promotions
Kalamazoo, MI, February 2012 — Greenleaf Trust is pleased to announce the following promotions.
Michael F. Odar, CFA has been promoted to Senior Executive Vice President and Director of Strategic Initiatives. With more than 18 years of experience in the investment field, Mike leads the execution of critically important initiatives across all company divisions and serves as Vice Chair of the Executive Leadership Team. Mike has a bachelor’s degree in financial administration from Michigan State University and has earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is currently attending the University of Chicago Booth Advanced Management Program.
Dan J. Rinzema CFA, CFP® has been promoted to Vice President and Assistant Director of the Wealth Management Division. Dan is responsible for leading the Wealth Management Advisor Team and specializes in the development of comprehensive wealth management plans, the execution of goal-based investment planning strategies, and the management of client investment portfolios. All such services are specifically tailored to each client’s unique needs and delivered in a team-based environment. Dan has 9 years experience in the financial services industry, is a graduate of Calvin College, and received an MBA with distinction from the University of Iowa. He has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in addition to the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
James Gray, CFA has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Director of Wealth Management. Jim is responsible for leading Greenleaf Trust’s Wealth Management Division, consisting of Research Analysts and Wealth Management Advisors, and is responsible for market analysis and portfolio management. He also serves as Chairman of the investment Policy Committee. Jim’s extensive background in investments as well as global manufacturing underscores his broad expertise in business analysis and strategy development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in financial administration from the University of Southern Indiana and has earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Kathleen Waldron has been promoted to Vice President and Senior Plan Manager.
Kathleen serves as a relationship manager for 401(k) and other defined contribution retirement plans. She has 20 years experience and manages the plan recordkeeping and administration team. Kathleen is a Qualified 401(k) Administrator, and a graduate of Western Michigan University.
Andrew L. Riker, CFP® has been promoted to Senior Wealth Management Advisor. A member of the Greenleaf Trust team since 2002, Andrew specializes in the development of comprehensive wealth management plans, the execution of goal-based planning strategies and the management of investment portfolios. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Hope College, cum laude, and a master’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University. Andrew is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
James R. Curry, CFP® has been named Senior Wealth Management Advisor. James specializes in the development of comprehensive wealth management plans, the execution of goal-based planning strategies, and the management of investment portfolios — all specifically tailored to each client’s unique needs and delivered in a team-based environment. He has more than 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. A graduate of Albion College, James has earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
Nicole E. Asher, CFP® has been named Senior Wealth Management Advisor. Nicole specializes in the development of comprehensive wealth management plans, the execution of goal-based planning strategies and the management of investment portfolios — all specifically tailored to each client’s unique needs and delivered in a team-based environment. She has over 21 years of experience in the financial services industry. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Nicole has earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and her Chartered Financial Consultant designation.
