Greenleaf Trust is proud to announce new diversity designation for Karen Baldwin.

Senior Vice President, Director of Human Resources Karen Baldwin, CSP™, SHRM-SCP™, NDCCDP successfully passed the DiversityFIRST™ certification program and examination administered by the National Diversity Council and has been awarded the National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Professional (NDCCDP) designation. The Diversity FIRST™ Certification Program aims to prepare professionals to create and implement D&I strategies for organizational excellence. Successful completion of the program includes pre-course readings, a five-day course and multiple-choice exam.

As senior vice president and director of human resources, Karen Baldwin leads the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee as well as the Human Resources Division, which is responsible for the day-to-day operations, administration of policies, procedures and programs, to include employee relations, talent selection, development, management and retention, benefits administration, legal compliance, budgeting, training and development and business development.

Karen has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry as well as more than 25 years of human resources experience. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University, her Certified Staffing Professional designation through the American Staffing Association , her Senior Certified Professional designation through the Society for Human Resource Management, and her Certified Diversity Professional designation through the National Diversity Council. Karen is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the Kalamazoo Human Resources Management Association.
