Greenleaf Trust Names Michael Odar President and Chief Executive Officer

Michael Odar will also join the wealth management firm’s Boards of Directors

March 22, 2022, Kalamazoo, MI – Greenleaf Trust, an independent Michigan-chartered, trust-only bank and wealth management firm, announced that President Michael Odar has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. In addition, he was appointed a Director on the Boards of Greenleaf Financial Holding Company, Greenleaf Trust and Greenleaf Trust Delaware.  He succeeds Ronald Kilgore as Chief Executive Officer, who will continue to serve as Executive Vice President, Senior Trust Officer, Member of the Board of Directors and Secretary to the Board.

Mr. Odar has been a member of the Greenleaf Trust team for 23 years, leading Greenleaf Trust and Greenleaf Trust Delaware as President since 2012. During his tenure as president, he has partnered with the firm’s executive council to promote sustained growth, excellent client service and a continuously improving business and workplace culture.

Mr. Odar succeeds Ronald Kilgore as Chief Executive Officer.  Mr. Kilgore joined Greenleaf Trust in 1998 and has been instrumental in the firm’s growth and success. During his more than 35 years in the trust business, Mr. Kilgore has been involved in every aspect of client service and trust management, including starting and successfully growing new trust organizations. He will continue to serve as Secretary to the Greenleaf Trust’s Board of Directors and serve clients as Executive Vice President, Senior Trust Officer.
